Consul General Gunther Sales received PNB Remittance Centers, Inc. (PNBRCI) executives at the Consulate - Mr. Ari Rivera, Chief Officer for Business Development; Ms. Emily Datuin, Branch Manager and Area Head for Texas; and Mr. Edgar Bulawan, Regulatory Compliance Officer.
During the call, Mr. Rivera highlighted PNBRCI’s broader service offerings beyond remittances, noting the company’s capacity to facilitate continued monthly contributions by overseas Filipinos to Philippine social security institutions, including the Social Security System (SSS) and the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG). Both sides discussed opportunities to promote and expand the availability of these financial services to members of the Filipino community in Texas.
PNBRCI is a subsidiary of PNB International Investments Corporation, which is wholly owned by the Philippine National Bank, one of the largest privately-owned commercial banks in the Philippines. PNBRCI has maintained a physical remmittance center in Houston for several years.
